As some of you know - Head Coach for the Utah Jazz Jerry Sloan resigned fter 23 years coaching in the NBA. You have heard the stories & the stats and while they are all true, there is a different side of Jerry that only a lucky few people got to see. He was FUNNY - always on time & always aready to help us out whenever he could. If he found something about you that he could tease you with ... he uses it (alot) and he is genuinly kind & respectful to everyone (except the refs)
Phil Johnson was a little bit different. Actually if you can believe it - much more intimidating that Jerry & always said exactly what he meant. He could come across as "grumpy" but once you got to know him you realized that he was just being sarcastic & he was freakin funny as well. One of my favorite things to do at the STH events was try to get a pic of Coach Phil Smiling...it took me over 10 years but I finally got one.
I will miss the coaches alot giving me "crap" about my hair - guacamole or my camera...many moments of fun that I am so very lucky to have experienced. Thanks Jerry & Thanks Phil for always being so nice to me!
